JO# 30192 – Legal Billing Specialist - A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to join its dynamic accounting department. This role plays a vital part in ensuring billing accuracy, compliance with client requirements, and timely submission of invoices. We're looking for a professional with a strong accounting background, hands-on experience in legal billing, and a keen eye for detail.


What You’ll Do:

· Prepare and revise monthly billing statements 

· Monitor billing progress, outstanding payments, and application of trust account funds

· Ensure adherence to firm-wide billing protocols and maintain billing documentation

· Assist with collections and follow-up on overdue invoices

· Maintain excellent client service throughout the billing cycle

· Contribute to various accounting-related responsibilities as needed


What We’re Looking For:

· Minimum 5 years of billing experience in a legal setting

· Working knowledge of leading billing platforms (e.g., Elite/3E, Aderant, Rippe & Kingston)

· Familiarity with e-billing tools and timekeeping software

· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management

· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision and a high level of accuracy

· Compensation is competitive ($70k) and based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the firm’s brand, services, and attorneys.
  • Manage and create content for digital channels, including website, blog, email newsletters, and social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, etc.).
  • Collaborate with attorneys and leadership to identify opportunities for business development and client outreach.
  • Plan and coordinate firm-sponsored events, seminars, webinars, and sponsorships.
  • Oversee marketing vendors, website updates, and SEO/SEM strategies.
  • Maintain consistent branding across all platforms and materials.
  • Draft and design pitch materials, proposals, firm announcements, and press releases.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to guide strategic decisions.
  • Track and report on KPIs, ROI of campaigns, and lead generation efforts.
  • Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a law firm environment (required).
  • 3–5+ years in a marketing or business development role within legal.
  • Strong command of digital marketing tools, analytics, and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Mailchimp, WordPress, Canva, CRM systems).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills.
  • Confident, proactive, and professional—able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
